Information and Library Studies

I hold a master's degree in Information and Library Studies from KISK at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, where I focused on technology in education and learning design. Over the course of the programme I completed 35 courses worth 144 ECTS credits, spanning pedagogy, information science, service design and self development. The most hands-on part: I designed, taught and researched my own university course for exchange students, Disinformation Pandemic, and took part in projects ranging from an educational hackathon to building the online community around the department.

Journalism and political science

My bachelor's degree combined journalism and political science at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University. In political science I concentrated on political marketing, elections, and the topic that has stayed with me ever since: propaganda and disinformation. During my studies I was active in the media literacy organisation Zvol si info, which I later led as chairwoman for six years, and I co-created Fakescape, an escape game that teaches pupils to recognise fake news and succeeded in a global Facebook competition. In journalism I specialised in audio production: I interned in the newsroom of Czech Radio Brno, produced a radio documentary for the station Radio Wave as my bachelor's project, and completed a second internship at a PR agency. An Erasmus+ semester in Freiburg, Germany, and several years of volunteering with the Erasmus Student Network rounded out my studies with an international dimension.

I documented my studies in detail on this website. The full archive of study reflections and course reviews is available on the Czech version of this page.
